The Huntingdon House is the local provider of emergency shelter and supportive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and victims of other crimes.  The program also provides transitional housing to victims of domestic violence. In addition Huntingdon House operates a small emergency shelter unit for homeless victims of Huntingdon County.  We offer these services free of charge. 

The goal of the Huntingdon House is to provide quality services to victims, such as providing safety and working with the victims needs. They are the only group in Huntingdon to provide comprehensive services to victims in the area.

The Huntingdon House has been part of several community presentations and has become largely known in the Huntingdon area. The House also advertises their existence with brochures, television, radio, and public services announcements.

There are some services that the Huntingdon House provides that are not funded by grant money. The monies received from the United Way fund these services, along with auto expenses, food, and program operations. Without the additional funds the Huntingdon House would have to cut back leading to a loss in shelter support and transportation for victims.
