Crossroads Pregnancy Center was established in 1985 to help and
support women in an unplanned pregnancy. Since that time Crossroads
has expanded providing many services within our community.
Clients are served without regard to age, race, income, nationality,
religious affiliation, disability or other arbitrary circumstances.
Services include: *free pregnancy tests *confidential & non-judgmental
Christ centered counseling *information on abortion alternatives
and risks *post abortion healing *abstinence education *Sexual Integrity
Program *Bridges Program (a “learn to earn” program
teaching parenting skills in order to receive cribs, car seats,
baby items, etc).
No longer just for women, Crossroads now provides services to men
and also offers couples counseling.
Crossroads communicates with the community through agency networking,
and Yellow Page ads. They have gained a reputation of trust in the
community and consistently receive referrals by previous clients.
Fundraising is used to service clients from Huntingdon County,
as well as Mifflin County; however, Huntingdon
County United Way funds have been
specifically reserved for aiding Huntingdon County residents. Without
the United Way funds, providing these services would be difficult.
