The Sister-to-Sister
program is a project of the American Association of University Women,
providing young women a forum for talking about the problems they
face on a daily basis.
Many of
the issues discussed are "evaded curriculum" issues -
felt keenly by girls, but many times not dicussed much in school
or home - such as body image, sexual harassment, peer pressure,
and sexuality. Worrying about these problems can distract girls
from concentrating on their education and future success.
